Built for winter walks

Cracking and bleeding can start in minutes

  • Salt is poison

Road salt burns pads on contact. Then your dog licks it off at home.

  • Cold bites

Ice balls pack between the toes and freeze into leg fur. Bare pads crack and burn in the cold.

  • Your floors pay

Grey slush gets tracked down the hallway after every walk. Then comes the towel and the paw-wiping ritual.

  • Booties fall off

Regular booties get kicked off in the first snowbank. WagGuard™ connects all four, so none get left behind.

Frequently asked questions

Will they actually stay on during zoomies?

Yes. All four boots connect to a harness over your dog's back, so they can't be kicked off one by one like regular booties. If they don't stay on, our 60-day promise refunds you.

Will my dog hate wearing them?

The first 2–3 walks take some treats and a couple of funny high-steps, which is totally normal for every dog in every boot. Most dogs walk normally by walk three.

How do I get my dog used to the boots?

Put them on indoors for a few minutes first and reward with treats. Then keep the first walks short and fun. Most dogs stop noticing them within a few walks.

How long does it take to put on?

A few minutes the first time while you adjust the straps. After that it's a quick slip-on before every walk.

How do I know which size to get?

Tap “Find my size” and choose by breed, weight or paw measurement. If your dog is between two sizes, size up.

What if I pick the wrong size?

We exchange it free within 60 days. Just email us and we'll send the right size.

Will they fit my big dog?

Our largest size (XXL) fits dogs up to about 77 lb. Very large breeds like Bernese, Great Danes and Newfoundlands are usually too big.

Are they suitable for small dogs and puppies?

Yes, as long as your dog fits our size chart. For growing puppies, check the fit every few weeks and swap sizes when needed.

Are they good for senior dogs?

Yes. The anti-slip soles give extra stability on ice and packed snow, which helps older dogs and dogs with joint pain walk with more confidence.

Do they grip on ice?

The anti-slip soles give real grip on ice and packed snow, with extra stability for seniors and joint-pain pups.

Do they protect against road salt?

Yes. Full-leg coverage keeps rock salt and de-icers off pads and leg skin, so there's nothing for your dog to lick off at home.

Can my dog wear them indoors or all day?

They're made for walks. Take them off when you get home so your dog's paws can breathe, and check paws after every walk.

Can I wash them?

Yes. Rinse off salt and mud after walks, hand wash with mild soap, and air dry before the next walk.

What's included in the set?

One WagGuard™ Set: four boots connected to the over-the-back suspender harness, in the size you choose.

What if we lose a boot?

Our Lost Boot Guarantee covers you: email us within 12 months and we'll send a replacement boot free (up to 2 per order).

What if they don't work for my dog?

You're covered by our 60-day Stays-On Promise. If the boots don't stay on, email us within 60 days for a full refund.

How long does shipping take?

Free tracked shipping across the US, with delivery in 7–12 business days.

How do I track my order?

You'll get an email with your tracking link as soon as your order ships.

Do you ship outside the US?

Right now we only ship within the United States.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email us as soon as possible. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we'll update or cancel it for you.

How do I contact you?

Email support@thegoodwag.com and a real person will get back to you.

Results vary by dog. Keep winter walks short in extreme cold and check your dog's paws after every walk. If your dog has a paw injury or skin condition, consult your veterinarian.
